Youth Financial Literacy Series

It's never too early to talk with your kids about money. That's why TopLine Financial Credit Union is committed to Get Smart With Your MoneyTM—an ongoing financial literacy initiative in our Minneapolis/St. Paul communities that encourages kids and their parents to talk about spending and saving wisely.

All financial education seminars are free by reservation and held at TopLine's Maple Grove Learning Center at 9353 Jefferson Highway unless otherwise noted.

Seminar for ages 5 - 8. Parents and their elementary-age kids will explore the concepts of spending, saving and sharing. Other activities include fun, age-appropriate discussions and worksheets.

Drawing from the High School Financial Planning Program offered by the National Endowment for Financial Education and the Money Smarts curriculum offered by the National Association of Federal Credit Unions, middle school kids and their parents will explore the concepts of:

  • Planning and goal setting
  • Saving and paying yourself first
  • Spending wisely
  • And so much more!

Lively, thought-provoking questions and real-life examples will get everyone thinking about the importance of balancing needs vs. wants and how planning and saving today can really pay off down the road.
