AHCU wants to make sure that our members use credit wisely. Credit reports also let you know that your credit information is not being used for identity theft. Regularly checking your credit report is the easiest way to make sure your credit information is accurate.

Federal law requires the three major credit reporting agencies to release a copy of your credit report once every 12 months. You can get your reports through the official website at At this website, you can order a credit report from any or all of the three major credit report organizations: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.

Some financial experts suggest pulling one credit report from one of the agencies every four months. This way, you can monitor changes in your reports over the year, rather than just annually.

Some other websites offer to get your credit report for free, but also try to sell you other services like credit monitoring. You do not have to pay anything to see your credit report.
